yes it is possible but you need to mount with attention following these requirements: https://www.nilab.at/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=green_drive_motors:tandem_drive
Then, the drive will be able to provide the sufficient current for two motors. For example a single GD250QS needs 1.2 Amps and 4.8 Amps peak. So, when driving two motors in parallel you need a single 10 Amps servo drive.
In this case just one encoder is needed to control the two motors.
